1. Submission
1.1 Columns
The available resources include commentary, articles, guidelines and consensus statements, case discussions, literature reviews, educational materials, conference reports, and care fields.
1.2 Time requirements
The author shall be notified by the editorial department within a period of 3 months upon receipt of the manuscript. In case no notification regarding the processing of the manuscript is received after more than 3 months, authors are advised to contact the editorial department for further information. The accepted manuscript will undergo multiple revisions, with each revision opinion being communicated to the authors within a timeframe ranging from 5 to 15 days.
1.3 Fund projects
If the research subject discussed in the paper has received national, ministry, provincial or higher level funding, or is a key research project or other funded project, it must be clearly stated on the title page and a copy of the fund certificate should be uploaded to the Journal. The name and number of each fund project should be filled out according to official names stipulated by relevant state departments. Multiple fund projects should be listed sequentially with ";" as separators.
1.4 Responsibility for documents
All contributions are solely the responsibility of their respective authors. In accordance with the relevant provisions of Copyright Law, this journal reserves the right to modify and condense manuscripts. If any amendments affect the original intent, they will be submitted to the author for consideration. If you do not agree with any deletions, please notify the editorial department promptly. Manuscripts previously published in non-public journals or presented at academic conferences will not be considered as duplicate submissions; however, authors must indicate this when submitting their manuscript. Any confirmed instances of academic misconduct will be dealt with seriously ( the author's affiliated institution will be contacted to report such misconduct ).
1.5 Copyright
Once the manuscript is accepted, the author shall sign a letter of authorization granting exclusive rights to the paper to the editorial department of the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Diseases. The editorial office reserves the right to publish this paper in electronic journals, CD-ROM editions, and online editions. Reproduction of any part of papers published in this journal elsewhere without permission from the editorial department is strictly prohibited.
1.6 Ways of Submission
This publication utilizes an online submission system, whereby authors are required to register and submit their manuscripts through the "Author Submission" website.
2. Manuscript
The article should strive for utmost clarity at all levels. The relevant documents quoted and adopted should be authentic, credible, and supported by accurate data. They should present distinct views in a rigorous structure with concise writing that is neat and standardized.
2.1 The number of words in the full text
The recommended word count for the paper, including both Chinese and English abstracts and references, is generally between 5000 to 8000 words. The main font for Chinese text should be Song style with a font size of five points, while the English text should be in Times New Roman with a font size of 12 points. Italic formatting should be used for statistical information, and single spacing is preferred.2.1 The number
2.2 The summary consists of a four-stage structural formula
A four-paragraph structure should be adopted for the abstract of articles in the monograph, basic research, testing technology, and meta-analysis columns. The abstracts in both Chinese and English must consist of four parts: Objective, Methods, Results (with emphasis on presenting main data), and Conclusion. Each section should be provided with an appropriate title to ensure clarity.
2.3 Article title
The Chinese title should be limited to 20 characters, preferably without subheadings, punctuation marks, or abbreviations. The English title should not exceed 10 words in length. The meaning of the titles in both Chinese and English should remain consistent.
2.4 Author ranking
The paper should be sorted in the following manner if it has multiple co-authors (please note the presence of numbers 1, 2, 3... in the upper right corner of each author's name). The order of authors must be discussed and agreed upon by all contributors prior to submission and should not be altered after submission, unless absolutely necessary. The affiliation of each author should be clearly stated along with their respective institutional names.
2.5 Corresponding author
The corresponding author, who assumes full responsibility for the paper, should be clearly identified during manuscript submission. If not explicitly indicated in the manuscript, the first author will be considered as the corresponding author. In cases where multiple individuals share principal responsibility, additional corresponding authors may be included as appropriate. To facilitate communication with the editorial department, please provide the name, email address, and telephone number of the corresponding author.
2.6 The author of the paper should have four conditions
(1) Participate in thesis topic selection and design, or engage in data analysis and interpretation.
(2) Draft or revise key theories or other main contents of the thesis.
(3) Review and revise according to editorial department's feedback, address academic inquiries, and ultimately approve publication of the paper.
(4) In addition to being accountable for my research contribution, I agree to take responsibility for the integrity of all aspects of the research work
3. Medical ethics, informed consent and statement of interests
3.1 When conducting a prospective study involving human subjects as the focus of the thesis, it is necessary for the author to provide an explanation regarding adherence to ethical standards established by the Human Body Test Committee (unit, region or country). Additionally, confirmation should be given regarding obtaining informed consent from either the research subjects themselves or their legal guardians. Furthermore, inclusion of a copy of the committee's approval document (with reference to its corresponding approval document number in the thesis) is required.
3.2 The promotion of ethical animal experimentation and adherence to regulatory guidelines should be advocated by all researchers.
3.3 The author of the article is required to disclose any potential influence or funding from various institutions or enterprises on the research process and obtained results. In case of projects supported by scientific research funds, it is necessary to provide the full name of the scientific research fund institution and the corresponding support number.
4. Writing requirements
4.1 Summary
The Chinese/English abstract should consist of 300 to 500 words. It should be written in a continuous manner, without any segmentation, and in the third person perspective. The English abstract should include the title (in English), authors' names (in Chinese Pinyin), organization name (in English), city name (in English), postal code, and country name (in English). In case the authors belong to different organizations, "1, 2, 3..." should be added in the upper right corner of each author's name. Additionally, the corresponding author's affiliation must be indicated. For instance: Xianyan LI1, Jianping WANG2 - Department of Pediatrics, First Hospital, Peking University, Beijing 100034 China; ... List all affiliations sequentially. If there is a corresponding author mentioned separately on another line after listing all affiliations with "Corresponding author:", their name (in English) and email address must be provided. The English abstract needs to correspond accurately with the Chinese abstract.
4.2 Key words
Each article typically includes 3-5 key terms, which should ideally be selected from the latest edition of the Index Medicus Chinese Medicine Thesaurus (MeSH) edited by the National Library of Medicine. The Chinese translation of this resource can refer to the "List of Annotations of Medical Subject Words" compiled by the Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. For new specialized terms (unlisted words), they may be used as keywords directly, preferably at the end. Key terms related to Chinese medicine should be chosen from the Thesaurus of Chinese Medicine compiled by the Institute of Chinese Medicine Information, Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In articles with English abstracts, corresponding English keywords must also be provided in addition to their respective Chinese translations. Abbreviations within key terms should be expanded according to the Glossary of Notes on Medical Subject Words. Each English keyword should begin with a capital letter and separated by ";".
4.3 Medical terms
1. The terms prescribed by the National Science and Technology Terminology Examination and Approval Committee shall be utilized. Subject terms that have not received approval may be selected from the latest edition of the Medical Thesaurus (MeSH), Glossary of Notes to Medical Themes, and Thesaurus of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In cases where there is no commonly accepted translation, the original words should be indicated upon their initial appearance in the text. The names of Chinese and Western medicines shall adhere to the most recent version of the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China and General Name of Chinese Medicines (both prepared by the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission), without employing trade names. Traditional Chinese medicine should adopt accurate nomenclature, while those not included in the pharmacopoeia ought to be annotated with their Latin name.
4.4 Chart
The charts and illustrations in the manuscript should be stored separately for archiving purposes. It is acceptable to use a Word document, but the chart position must still be maintained in the manuscript to facilitate insertion during typesetting. All charts should be provided as vector graphics whenever possible, using formats such as AI, Visio, Origin, PDF, EMF, Excel, CDR, Word, PPT or PSD (TIFF and JPG without layers should not be provided). The text within the figures can be modified if necessary. Please carefully review the drawings before submission to ensure their consistency with the written content. This publication will be printed in full color; therefore please provide color pictures whenever feasible.
4.5 Measurement units, symbols, and numerical representation
4.5.1 The unit of measurement shall conform to the provisions and writing rules regarding quantities, units, and symbols in GB3100 ~ 3102-1993 "Quantities and Units," while specific implementation may refer to the "Application of Legal Units of Measurement in Medicine" prepared by the Chinese Medical Association.
4.5.2 Statistical symbols and descriptions shall be written in italics in accordance with relevant provisions in GB/T 3358.1-2009 Statistical Vocabulary and Symbols.
4.5.3 The usage of numbers is regulated by GB/T15835-1995 "Regulations on the Usage of Numbers in Publications". Arabic numerals are used for expressing the Gregorian century, age, year, month, day, hour and counting measurements. When there are ≥5 digits before or after the decimal point, every 3 digits should be grouped with a space between each group. However, ordinal words and certain elements such as year, page number, troop designation, instrument model and standard number are exempt from this rule.
5. References
The description format adheres to the "Information and Literature Reference Description Rules" (GB/T 7714-2015). It employs a sequential coding system, utilizing Arabic numerals in accordance with their appearance order in the text, and is arranged at the end of the document. References cited within the article should be sourced from original articles rather than secondary citations. Abstracts should be avoided as references whenever possible, and references from the past five years should constitute 50% of all citations. Internal publications, unpublished materials (excluding accepted materials for publication), personal communications, etc., are not suitable as literature citations unless absolutely necessary; if required, they may be indicated accordingly within the main text.
